VISION

To be recognised as the most professionally managed, financially viable and successful Australian Football Club in Tasmania, that:

values, recognises and pays regard to the contribution of players, staff, volunteers, past players and officials, members and sponsors in achieving the goals of the club; and

fosters a culture based on developing the personal qualities and skills necessary to be a team player with the strong will to win whilst maintaining the values of good sportsmanship on and off the field.

To achieve its Visions the Club sets itself the following Mission & Purpose Statements;

MISSION STATEMENT

To manage and grow the business of the Football Club in a highly professional manner that achieves continued success on the playing field, financial profitability and generally enhances the profile and performance of the Club within the local community, whilst providing enjoyment for players, members, supporters and sponsors and benefits football as a community based sport.

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Clarence Football Club exists to support and encourage the development of Australian Football within the community and specifically its development zone. In doing this the club aspires to develop the core values of living a healthy life style, honesty, commitment, integrity, fairness, resect for others and the law and in following these values provide an environment that challenges and provides individuals with the opportunity to reach their highest level in football and as members of their community.

The Club is committed to developing players, setting and maintaining high standards for all levels that will inspire players, but especially juniors to play in the Tasmanian State League which encourages family and friends to support actively their playing career.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

The following principles outlines how the Club will conduct its day to day business and the ’culture’ it promotes as an organization.

Promoting the personal qualities necessary to play Australian Rules Football including personal development, courage, self sacrifice (team spirit), hard work, initiative, self discipline, hardiness, determination, and good sportsmanship both on and off the playing field;

Valuing, recognizing and paying regard to the contribution of its staff, players, volunteers, past players and officials, members and sponsors in achieving the goals of the club;

Providing high quality coaches and playing and training facilities and equipment for players and Club support staff;

Striving continually for innovation and improvement;

Ensuring that players, support staff, members, sponsors, past players and officials and supporters of the Club share, understand and share the Vision, Mission & Purpose Statements of the Club;

Ensuring that the Club, through its advocates, is seen as a co-operative, supportive, helpful, efficient, professional and effective business which consults appropriately when implementing its work;

Ensuring that the Club, through the Board of Management, staff, players and all volunteers comply with all of the appropriate laws, regulations and corporate governance principles in all its dealings.
